Saturday, September 6, 2025 – Town Square (Mestni trg), Slovenske Konjice
Slovenske Konjice will once again come alive with a festive market spirit at the beginning of September. The 9th St. George’s Crafts and Culinary Fair brings together creativity, tradition, and local flavors, inviting everyone to enjoy a pleasant gathering.
The morning will begin with an official opening, accompanied by marching tunes from the Slovenske Konjice Brass Band, followed by the ceremonial awarding of the “Okusi Rogle” (Tastes of Rogla) certificates at the Town Square.
From 11 AM to 5 PM, a colourful group of local handicraft and culinary masters will present their creations at stalls, and visitors will also be able to explore several exhibitions:
- “Huda Mravljica the Konjice Way” – with a pop-up recital
- Street Exhibition: Žička kartuzija Monastery 860
- Exhibition of Small Breeds of Domestic Animals – in the park near the Cultural Centre
Between 12 PM and 3 PM, the town center will bustle with creative workshops for children, ethno-animation with a street organ player, vintage cars, and the beloved character “Huda Mravljica” from a popular children’s song by local author Branko Rudolf, sure to entertain both young and old. The vibrant day will conclude with a concert by the band Počeni škafi at 3 PM.
Join us for a day full of tradition, great flavors, and friendly people!
